Welcome to the Offaly Community Forum website
Offaly Community Forum represents 370 Community & Voluntary groups in Offaly. These groups range from Residents Associations & Community alert, Health & Family Support, Heritage & Environment, Women’s Groups, Youth, Sports & Recreation, Community Development, the elderly & special interest groups.
Offaly Community Forum Management Committee consists of ten Community volunteers who meet once a month to discuss Community issues & work on Community projects. If you have any issues or community ideas that you would like to discuss with the Community Forum contact the Forum support worker on 057 93 57460 or forum@offalycoco.ie Offaly Community Forum is facilitated Offaly County Council Community & Enterprise Section.
Objectives of Offaly Community Forum
- To be a representative voice for the community sector in Offaly
- To share information, experience and tackle common problems.
- To make representations on issues that affect communities in Offaly
- To be a vehicle for local consultation.
- To involve people in the social, cultural and economic activities in the county.
- To provide a platform through which members may explore, articulate and organise to progress issues and interests that are of particular concern to them.
- To represent the Community & Voluntary Sector of Offaly on countywide participative structures such as the Offaly County Development Board, Joint Policing Committee’s, Council Area Committees and Strategic Policy Committees.
- To represent Community & Voluntary input into strategic plans for Co.Offaly

Membership is free and open to legitimate established groups who agree to adhere to the principles and democratic process of the Forum. If your group wants to become a member of the Forum you can download an application form here or register online here.
